BFIA will visit Shanghai, China from April 27-30 with the 'Jung Shin Hye Dance Company', who will perform traditional Korean dances at the Jeonghyeob Theater. This is part of the program of cultural exchanges between Busan and Shanghai that exists to encourage friendly relations between the two cities. Busan's performance troupe will perform in Shanghai first and then a troupe from Shanghai will make a return visit to Busan. Shanghai became Busan's 6th sister city in August, 1993.
* 'Jung Shin Hye Dance Company': A traditional dance company established in 1997 by Jung Shin Hye, who passed down the "Salpuli Dance", an intangible cultural asset. She is both the choreographer as well as the artistic director of the dance company and is currently Professor of Dance at Silla University.
